Late in the year 2002, a young man was
presented with an opportunity. Coby Hall had been working for a
gentleman named Wayne Sands for a while and in that time they formed a
very strong bond and friendship.
Coby and Wayne had
talked several
times about the prospect of Coby buying Wayne's business. Finally they
struck a deal. Coby was buying the business started by the man he
admired and considered his mentor. Armed with the knowledge acquired
from Wayne the adventure began.
Since Coby had been raised in Lincoln, Arkansas, he knew this
was meant
to be. Where else should you build towards your dreams and contribute
to building a strong and proud community other than the one in which
you were raised.
With the support and full time help of his wife Bobbie, Coby
became the
president of Hall Electrical Contractors.
Starting out with only two trucks, a garage full of tools and
basic
industrial electrical equipment, and people having knowledge,
confidence and a continued willingness to learn, Hall Electrical
Contractors, now known commonly as H.E.C. began to grow, working its
way into the position of primary electrical contractor for four Simmons
food production plants, two Simmons warehouses and some of Simmons'
Hatchery operations. H.E.C. also handles all of Simmons' 24 hour
emergency service calls. In addition, H.E.C. found time to expand into
other commercial and residential work, meeting or beating their
deadlines and accomplishing all of the goals they have aspired to
reach.
Another important priority was, and still is, take care of
those who
take care of you. Any employee of H.E.C. will tell you, to Coby Hall,
employees and their families are very important to the foundation and
strength of H.E.C.
Another important value Coby believes in strongly is giving
back to the
community. Along with business responsibilities, Coby still finds time
to help coach and support the local sports and community activities his
sons Jarred and Zachary are involved in, and he serves as a volunteer
for the Lincoln Fire Department.
Presently, H.E.C. performs all phases of electrical
contracting from
communication to residential, commercial and industrial work. The scope
of the work H.E.C. performs ranges from installing an entire industrial
production line including main power supply right down to system
control and logic to installing a light over your kitchen sink.
With the purchase of the land and shop they were leasing, and
building
an addition this year, their moderate fleet of company service vehicles
has more than doubled. New boom and scissor lifts, complimented by
equipment hauling, supply storage and job site trailers indicate that
H.E.C. is showing no signs of slowing its growth and capabilities.
With
electrical apprentices scheduled to be graduating in each of the next 4
years and more to come, H.E.C. is preparing young men to become
productive members of the proud group of journeymen electricians, just
as Coby Hall and H.E.C. have done for 5 years and counting.
As
a proud
member of the Lincoln business community, Hall Electrical Contractors
and all of our employees would like to thank you for this honor and
assure you, the community, that we will continue to strive to do our
best to make you proud.
With Our Sincerest
Appreciation,
Hall Electrical Contractors
Coby Hall
